Amundi Funds Bond Euro Aggregate seeks to generate steady returns and capital growth by investing at least two thirds of its assets in investment grade government and corporate bonds denominated in EURO. 

The sub-fund may also invest up to a third of its assets outside the investment universe. The investment team may therefore seize other investment opportunities, particularly other types of debt instrument and deposits. 

The fund manager relies heavily upon analysis provided by our interest rate and credit specialists when making allocation decisions regarding the major sources of yield.

The hunt for yield is based on two approaches:

• A qualitative approach: the investment team analyses the interaction between the main asset classes throughout the economic cycle, as well as their fundamentals in terms of valuations and technical factors. Opinions reached on this basis are then translated into strategies on interest rates (duration, yield curve) and allocation decisions in terms of countries, credit, swap spreads, inflation breakevens and diversification.
• A quantitative approach: the weighting of each position is then adjusted to reflect performance forecasts, in accordance with the portfolio’s risk budget and the manager’s level of conviction.

Lastly, issuers and bonds are selected in close collaboration with the various specialists in each asset class.

The company is particularly engaged in active management, through a range of mutual funds (equity management, bond management, diversified management, structured products management and treasury management) as well as in passive management as an ETF issuer and index fund manager. The company also offers products in the real and alternative asset investment segments (real estate and private equity in particular). Its offering is aimed at retail investors and institutional investors, either in the form of collectivised investments or specific mandates. In France, Amundi is more widely known for its activities in the field of French employee savings schemes (épargne salariale). The company also has a research and analysis unit, which issues regular publications on global economic conditions and stock market developments.

Amundi Group has offices in several countries around the world, including Europe, Asia and the United States, and is estimated to have around 100 million direct or indirect individual clients and 1,000 institutional customers worldwide.
